017 sees HAK celebrating its twentieth year of service to the community. This “pet project” of the Rotary Club of Klang has come a long way from the mere four machines it had in 1997, operating from rented premises to the present 20 machines and having its own building with state of the art facilities.

A dinner was held on 07 April 2017 at the Royal Klang Club, mainly to recognize and appreciate all the major donors, benefactors and well-wishers and members of the Rotary Club of Klang (past and present) who had sacrificed their time, energy, expertise and even provided financial assistance ever since HAK was set up in 1996. The honor goes to the pioneer group of Rotarians who grappled with limited resources and numerous hurdles to set up the center. The farsightedness of these pioneer Rotarians who saw an overwhelming demand for dialysis by the community in Klang, decided to embark on this project despite the limited resources and challenges.

Today, HAK serves 78 patients operating three shifts per day providing more than 10,000 dialysis treatments annually. As we celebrate HAK’s 20 years of service, we thank all those who have trusted us to provide affordable dialysis treatment for them and we honor the generous donors, without whom we could not have come thus far.
